Yoshimaru time!

My cinnamon effect from Jasm's htc. :]

Mashing the sesame seeds to put them into the ramen soup.

Finally visited Holland Village again after so many years since I shifted out of Bukit Timah.. It's considered my first visit with a pal, and yeap the place was a little different but the area was more or less the same. Not extremely big and the shop houses were all mostly restaurants or shops selling traditional clothes, others selling desserts or food. There were quite a number of pubs too if I remembered correctly. I tried ice-cream at Island Creamery, thought the pulut hitam would be good but it was weird. Thinking their ice-cream parlour was a failed one, however upon tasting Jasm's choice of ice-cream flavour, on the contrary, I felt that their banana flavour was really good. I could even taste the fruit in it! :)

Walking around a few times before Jasm finally made up her mind on the food she was going to have for dinner! Eventually, we decided to give the ramen stall a try. The ramen weren't the same from the ones I tasted in Hokaido's ramen street. They were somewhat of the same kind as Ajisen's ramen, probably a little thinner in size. Those round-spaghetti like kind. It's also known as Hakata ramen.

My parents always prefer to eat those sightly square shaped-bouncy kind of noodle. Something like the smaller version of the yellow noodle we consume in our local dishes like fishball noodle or mee rebus. Well, I've no significant preference on the type of noodles but it was above average I would say. The best is still the one I tasted at Clark Quay, the place that used to be named as Daimaru. Really missed it so muchhhh! My second best option would be Ramen Play since Ajiman ramen closed its one and only outlet at Orchard Central :( Sigh up till now I still crave for their ramen so badly... It has been like two years or so since they closed down.

That's all for now!
I shall turn in.

Good Nightttttt!
^^V
