I would say the only way to get yourself out of all these trouble and unwanted stress would be to quit school and get out of Singapore. If you quit school and stay in Singapore, you will be an outcast in the society and others will definitely be ahead of you due to the your lack of academic recognition. So stress is only being directed into another different aspect. Hence, I would say it is very silly and naive for anybody to think of surviving and leading a stable life with an average income in Singapore without a basic foundation. At this point of time, maybe a diploma cert? Who knows what's next. Everybody seems to be entering Universities now. If you talk about continuing school, you'll just probably be one of the common people in Singapore to be going through the same exact education like what others are also in. It's pretty much like a country where you see no future. You don't know what you can do, what will be successful, and whether you can put and apply what you have studied as a beneficial source to assist you in your future career. Right now, I don't have any aims. Maybe I'll still take more time to figure things out, on what I really want. I'm like right in the middle, suspended. Having neither high, nor low qualifications. Looking at the people around me, almost all are carrying the certificate I'm currently studying for. In the past, this is a huge achievement. Currently it seems that it's more like a stepping stone rather than an achievement. Have anybody ever wondered how much more time and effort do they need to put in to reach the top and outshine the rest? Everybody have their own troubles, own obstacles to face and difficulties to manage. But compared to the western countries, their cultures, and everything which makes them a part of who they are tells me that they are leading a more relaxed life. They are open minded, they enjoy life in a sense that talents and other aspects of an individual which they can excel in especially when there's an interest at heart, even the slightest bit of that can be used as a potential in being successful. Though everything comes with hard work, they do not live in a box where if you don't study, you are almost as good as dead. Unemployment rate may be low in other countries. But I shall just put it that, Singapore should really take things slower and make health and happiness the first priority. Life is not all about education and money man. Why make it so tough when young innocent children deserve to be grown up in a stress-free and happy environment before they are exposed to this unfair world where money is also the root of all evil.
When I close my eyes,
I feel like I'm in paradise.
Where loneliness, sadness, sorrow, greed, anger and unpleasantness do not exist.
Yet only lies the existence of pure happiness, smiles and whatever that brings joy.
But,
dreams were always meant to be dreams.
